Formation/Sunday School

Formation at Grace Church

At Grace, Christian Formation is an important part of our life together, and it takes many forms for children, youth, and adults.

Adults
Every Sunday at 9:30 am in the Parish Hall, Fr. Ed leads the Rector’s Forum. Past topics have included:

  • The Book of Genesis
  • A Study of James and Our Relationships
  • A Vision for Grace Church and Its Future
  • Brant Hansen’s Unoffendable

We also welcome guest speakers on topics such as Our Little Roses Foreign Mission Society, Davidson Prison Ministry, and Mental Health Awareness.

Children
Children’s Sunday School meets at 9:30 am upstairs in the Education Building for grades 1–5. Ms. Belinda and Ms. Kathy use Weaving God’s Promises, a curriculum that helps children build a strong foundation in Christian education, worship, and service—three essential elements that, like the legs of a sturdy stool, help faith stand firm and grow strong.

Youth
Our youth (grades 6–12) also meet at 9:30 am for their own class. Using Echo the Story (SparkHouse Digital), they take a 36-week journey through the Bible, from Creation to Revelation. This class is led by Mary Cameron and Joe.

Sunday Evenings, the Grace Youth Group meet.

Nursery
For infants – preschool age, nursery care is available during the 9:30 am Rector’s Forum and the 10:30 am service. The nursery, located in the Education Building next to the Parish Hall, is staffed by Ms. Beth and Ms. Tamara, who greet every child with warmth and a smile.
